ScoreParrot is an audio-to-MIDI transcription app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Record or upload piano audio and ScoreParrot's AI engine converts it into a standard MIDI file you can view on an interactive piano roll, play back, and export to any DAW or notation software.

Currently ScoreParrot supports piano only. Our transcription model is trained specifically on piano audio to give you the best possible accuracy.

Support for additional instruments is actively being developed and will be added in a future update.

ScoreParrot uses Sign In with Apple — no password required. Just tap "Sign in with Apple" on the welcome screen and authenticate with your Apple ID using Face ID or Touch ID.

You can choose to share your real email or Apple's private relay address. Either works with ScoreParrot.

ScoreParrot accepts MP3, WAV, and M4A file uploads. You can also use the built-in microphone to record live piano audio directly in the app.

Additionally, you can paste a YouTube or youtu.be URL and ScoreParrot will download and transcribe the audio from the video.

Yes — the maximum file size per upload is 50 MB. Most audio files up to around 30 minutes in length fall well within this limit at typical bitrates.

Transcription typically takes about 1× the length of the audio. For example, a 1-minute recording usually completes in about 1 minute.

Processing time can vary depending on server load. The app shows live stage-by-stage progress so you always know where things stand.

ScoreParrot works best with clean, solo piano recordings with minimal background noise. Results may be less accurate when:

· The recording has heavy reverb or echo
· There is accompaniment (other instruments, vocals, etc.)
· Passages are very fast or densely chordal
· The audio quality is low or heavily compressed

For best results, record in a quiet room using a good microphone placed close to the piano.

Yes — switch to the YouTube URL tab and paste any youtube.com or youtu.be link. The video must be publicly accessible (not private or age-restricted).

ScoreParrot downloads the audio track from the video and processes it exactly like a file upload.

Tap the person icon in the top right and select Order History. All your past orders are listed there, along with their status and creation date.

Yes — tap any Completed order in Order History to reopen it in the MIDI player. From there you can play it back on the piano roll and use the Save button to export the MIDI file to your device.

In Order History, swipe left on any order and tap Delete. This immediately removes the order, the source audio file, and the generated MIDI file from our servers.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Tap the person icon → Sign Out. Your session is ended and your authentication token is removed from the device Keychain. Your orders and data remain on the server until you choose to delete them.

Tap the person icon → Delete Account. Confirm the prompt and your account, all orders, all audio files, and all generated MIDI files are immediately and permanently deleted from our servers.

This action is irreversible. There is no grace period or recovery option.

No. Audio and MIDI files are stored only as long as you keep the associated order. Deleting the order — or deleting your account — removes them immediately from our servers.

We never use your audio or MIDI files for advertising or to train machine-learning models. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
