1Overview
ScoreParrot ("we", "our", or "us") is an audio-to-MIDI transcription app developed by Swinnovate Inc (info@swinnovate.com). This policy explains what data we collect when you use the ScoreParrot iOS, iPadOS, and macOS app, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
We collect only what is necessary to provide transcription services. We do not sell or rent your data. We do not use your audio or MIDI files for advertising or training machine-learning models.
2Data We Collect

If you use the in-app audio recording feature, ScoreParrot requests microphone access only while you are actively recording. The recorded audio is uploaded to our servers solely for MIDI transcription and is subject to the retention policy described in Section 5.
3How We Use Your Data
- Authentication — your Apple user ID and email let us create and secure your account across devices.
- Transcription — your audio file or YouTube URL is processed to generate a MIDI file. This is the core purpose of the app.
- Order tracking — metadata (status, timestamps) lets the app poll for progress and display results.
- Service improvement — aggregate, anonymised metrics (e.g. average transcription time, error rates) may be used to improve reliability. These never include audio content or personal identifiers.
4Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
Your session token is stored in your device's secure Keychain and is never stored on our servers.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We encourage you to use the app over trusted networks.
5Retention & Deletion
We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide the service and fulfil the purposes described in this policy:
- Audio and MIDI files are stored on our servers until you delete the order or your account. Deleting an order removes both the source audio and the generated MIDI file from our servers immediately.
- Order and account information is kept while your account is active.
- Session tokens on your device are removed when you sign out or uninstall the app.
You can delete individual orders at any time from the Order History screen in the app. To delete your account and all associated data (orders, audio files, MIDI files, and account information), use Account → Delete Account in the app — deletion is immediate and irreversible. You may also request deletion by emailing info@swinnovate.com and we will action your request within 30 days.
7Tracking & Analytics
ScoreParrot does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs (e.g. Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude). We do not show advertising or use advertising identifiers (IDFA).
Our Privacy Manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy) declares: no tracking; data types
collected are limited to user account identity (Apple user ID, email) used solely for
app functionality.
8Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Deletion — request erasure of your account and all associated data.
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection / restriction — object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@swinnovate.com. We will respond within 30 days (or sooner as required by applicable law).
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9Children's Privacy
ScoreParrot is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10Policy Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
